はじめての徳島県と淡路島(My first trip to Tokushima and Awaji island)

今回は私の徳島、淡路島の旅行を英語で紹介したいと思います！

なぜ今回私が英語で旅行の日記を書くのかと言うと単純に書いてみたかったからです笑

またすごく良い所だったのでそれを紹介したいと思ったのも理由です👍

ただネイティブの方のような表現の仕方は中々難しく、やっぱり日本人が書く英語の日記のようになってしまうかと思うので、「自分だったらまた違う表現を使うかな～」など自分に置き換えた時にどう書くかを考える学習姿勢で読んで頂けたら幸いです(^^;

また、単純に今回の旅は私的にすごく満足したので、もし徳島や淡路島に訪れる際に私が紹介するスポットを候補入れてみてはいかがでしょうか？😌

多くの美味しいもの、綺麗な景色に出会えました(^^

それではいきます！

Between November 15th and 17th, I was in Tokushima prefecture and Awaji island. Why I was there was to meet my brother who works in Tokushima as a pastry chef. And I hadn't visited there until that time. Because I'm in Fukuoka so if I don't have any purposes like for my job to go, I would not have the option to go there.  But this time, I had the chance.

Anyway, on the 15th morning, I departed from Fukuoka with my family by airplane. I think it took only 45 minutes from Fukuoka to Tokushima.

After we arrived in Tokushima and got out of the airport, the bronze statutes of Awaodori welcomed us.

And as many of you know, Tokushima is quite the countryside so there was nothing except the bronze statues at the airport. But I was able to feel the fresh air and a calm atmosphere. At first, we originally planned to eat Tokushima ramen before meeting my bro, so we headed to a famous ramen place. Actually, I'm from Fukuoka. If you are local in Fukuoka, you must be a Tonkotsu ramen lover like me and think Tonkotsu is the best one. So I'm a bit strict about ramen. But after I had Tokushima ramen, I got to love it! It super tasted great. The taste was like soy sauce and Tonkotsu soup were mixed and rich.

It really surprised me! To be honest, I felt that Tokushima ramen exceeded Hakata ramen in me lol. Now I hope I can have it again. And the ramen place is called TAMU RAMEN. I definitely recommend that to you👍

It was superb. You would be into it.

After we had it for our lunch, we went to a cake shop where my bro works.

It's located in Kitazima town, Tokushima and called "パティスリー　オゥ　パワヴル".

They provide incredibly great sweet stuff such as Baumkuchen, a roll cake. 

We had banana chocolate flavored sponge. It was covered with fresh cream so it's enough rich and not too light. Even after we had rich ramen, we cleaned it quickly😅.

When you visit Tokushima, please try some cakes. They have perfect things for a sweet tooth or if you haven't ordered a Christmas cake for your Christmas, also order it!

And what we do for our first day was only to meet my bro. 

On day 2, we had some plans to enjoy. We picked up a rental car then headed to Akashi city in Hyogo to eat Akashiyaki which is like takoyaki.

On our way to Akashi city, we saw really picturesque views on the Akashi-Kaikyo bridge crossing it.

And we got the shopping arcade. There was a lot of seafood there. But I often saw especially seasoned octopuses so I bought one and we had Akashiyaki. 

It was milder taste and softer than takoyaki.

There are two ways to eat it. One way is to dip it in "dashi", the other one is to dip it in a normal source. But I preferred the former style. Because the normal source is strong to Akashiyaki. That's what I felt a bit. But I don't mean the style doesn't match it. Some people would prefer the latter style also.

It's already 3 pm after eating it, so we left Akashi city then went to Awaji island to check in a hotel.

The hotel "海若の宿" was located in the south part of the island. The hotel stands along the beach so you can view the beach, sunrise, and sunset from your room. A room we stayed in had enough space for 3 or 4 people so we were able to spend a good time comfortably. They also have 100% natural hot springs. You could relax👍.

I was tired so I went to sleep quickly this day.

On day 3, We explored Awaji island. The first place we went to was a famous pancake place called "幸せのパンケーキ".

I loved being here. The shop looked cute and have an awesome ocean view you can see from your seat eating pancakes. I wanted to be there all day😂.Pancakes were really fluffy and worth more than the price.

I ordered a tiramisu pancake plate. 

Visit and try their pancakes! You can get satisfied👍

Second place was the former site of Sumoto castle. You can overlook the whole of Sumoto city.

After that, we ate onion burgers🍔. Onions are famous in Awaji, so you should try it.

There are lots of things you need to try actually😂.

This trip was amazing.

I hope next time, I can be here for a long stay.
